Lytham, here we come!

That’s the message from the cast of Chapterhouse Theatre Company’s Little Women who will open the Lytham Hall outdoor season next Sunday 17 June

The show in Lytham will be one of five performances in 240 hours as the company zig zag from Scotland to Cornwall and from Somerset to Northern Ireland.

The eight strong cast will travel 1250 miles in this first part of their three month summer tour and the Lytham Hall show will be just the third of 61 performances in 86 days. The opening night at Guisborough Forest last Friday was well received by the Yorkshire audience.

Julian Wilde, organiser of the open air season which this year has 24 Patrons from the Lytham business community feels that Chapterhouse will receive a warm reception from the audience.

“Chapterhouse are returning to Lytham Hall following successes with Wuthering Heights and Great Expectations in the past two summers and Louisa Alcott’s novel has again been adapted for the stage by the award-winning. Laura Turner.

They have built up a strong following here on the Fylde coast and our audiences appreciate the vitality which their young cast always bring to a performance. It’s a demanding schedule for them but they are always up for it. ”

Ticket sales for Sunday’s show are already ahead of last year’s figures and both on-line booking and local outlets in Lytham, Ansdell and St Annes have reported a high level of interest. Playgoers can pay at the gate and are asked to bring their own low-backed seating and suitable clothing.
