Join Mellor & Rose from Modern Calligraphy Workshop on Wednesday March 25th from 11am – 1:30pm!
Modern Calligraphy is fun to learn and relaxing to practice.
Guided by expert tutors; Lucy Mellor and Polly Mellor, you will begin by covering the fundamentals of how to hold the dip pen, learning the pressures and rhythms that give calligraphy its characteristic contrasting strokes before moving onto learning the upper and lower alphabet, how to link letters, first words and phrases. You will learn how to draw decorative illustrations and flourishes to complement your calligraphy lettering on stationery pieces. The second half of the workshop covers how to lay out greeting cards, letter up and design a piece of wall art along with luxury stationery items.

The Friends of Lytham Hall will be running their annual Family Fun Day on Easter Sunday at 11am to 1pm or 1pm to 3pm.
The Easter Bunny has hidden her eggs in the woods so come and help her find them. There are lots of creatures hiding in the woods so watch out for the Fox!!
Collect some eggs and the Easter Bunny will give you an Easter Treat!

A Midsummer Night's Dream

Lytham Proms Weekend

Welcome to our 2 day mega picnic festival event that all the family can enjoy!
Starting on Saturday 29th August, book your tickets for our 80's Vs 90's afternoon! Kicking off the event is the One and Only himself, multi million selling artist- Chesney Hawkes. Following Chesney is the fabulous platinum selling Britpop rock band - Dodgy with 9 Top 40 singles. Finally, with over 40 years of chart-topping success - we have the Brit Award winner and original punk pop princess herself - Toyah!
All the above hit recording stars will be supported by an array of further artists, while the audience settles in for the afternoon with their picnics, strawberries, and champagne. The show will finish at 7:30 pm, allowing everyone to leave the parkland during daylight.
Sunday 30th August, with over 10 million albums sold, we have the Welsh legend himself Aled Jones! Royal Albert Hall favourite, Aled is sure to wow the crowd with his decades of singing expertise and charisma. Supporting Aled will be rising Lancashire pop country star Amy Jo, and the dynamic postmodern harmonies of The Bluebirds.
Superb soprano Danielle Louise Thomas will finish the show with an amazing Proms finale set. Danielle is known as the Voice of Liverpool and is in high demand, having performed at Royal occasions and on the BBC.
Our fabulous Sunday performers will also be supported by a fantastic line up of singers and musicians starting at 3pm until 7.30pm.
Both events will once again be hosted by popular BBC Radio Lancashire presenter Graham Liver whose wit and charm is always a crowd pleaser.

During the Mad Ruggers workshop you will learn how to create your own unique Rag Rug. Having learned how to use the tools including a latch hook and cutting gauge, you will then start to create your own rug from 100% pure wool blanket yarn.
This course includes:
Your own latch hook
1 x 250g ball of blanket yarn
Hessian mat 100cm x 60cm.
You will leave with the knowledge and skill to finish your rug at home.
9:30am - 12:30pm morning session or 13:00 - 16:00 afternoon session
