Return of Classic Buses and Coaches to Lytham Hall
It will be time to hop aboard on Bank Holiday Monday 31 August when vintage buses and coaches return to Lytham Hall after the successful display and running day held last year in conjunction with the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust.
The event runs from 10.00am until 4.00pm and vintage buses will operate a regular service from the Hall to Fairhaven Lake car park via Lytham town centre and back. On display at the Hall will be 10 of the finest buses and coaches with volunteers from the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust on hand to provide information about the restoration and the running of the carefully preserved gems.
Among the vehicles on display will be a 1934 Leyland Lion single decker formerly owned by Lytham St Anne’s Corporation, the final restoration of which was only completed recently. In addition two other pre-war classics are expected, one a Leyland Lion single decker dating from 1931, the other being a 1936 Leyland Cheetah coach.
