Please join us for our latest series of live talks here at Lytham Hall presented by our knowledgeable tour guides and guest speakers on topics related to Lytham Hall, the Clifton family and our local history. Last Thursday of every month in the Upper West Wing, entry from 1.30pm, talk to commence at 2pm.
Price - £5 per person to include tea, coffee & biscuits. Proceeds to Lytham Hall projects.

David's "Myths of Lytham" was one of our most popular talks last year so do not miss his new one on St Annes.

by Barbara Weston from the Friends of the Lytham St Annes Art Collection.
Barbara gave us a fascinating talk about the painting "Excelsior" which is displayed in Lytham Hall and returns to tell us more about its artist, Richard Ansdell.

"Charles Allen Clarke - A Passion for the Fylde"
by his granddaughter, Shirley Matthews.
Shirley, a Tour Guide at Blackpool's Winter Gardens, has researched the story of her grandfather's many memories of his connection with the villages and characters he met growing up on the Fylde. including his childhood memories of Lytham and his visits to Lytham Hall in later years.

In the mid-nineteenth century the Cliftons were the third biggest landowner in Lancashire. Thomas, who had the distinction of being Lytham Hall's youngest Tour Guide, has given us many excellent talks and although now based in London, is continuing his research into the Clifton family.

Following his detailed research into the life of Harry Clifton, Peter has been finding out more about his four younger siblings Aurea, Avia, Easter and Michael.

by Deborah Durkin, Lytham Hall Tour Guide and Conservation Cleaning Team Leader. Deborah has helped to mastermind the amazing Christmas Extravaganzas at Lytham Hall for the last 4 years. She will give us an insight into how this is done with the help of volunteers and maybe give us a few hints about Christmas 2026!
Thursday 29th October 2026 "Street Names of Lytham St Annes and their Connection to the Cliftons"

Lowther Terrace, Wykeham Road, Lima Road - Sue & Denise will explain the origin of these & other street names and their connection to the Clifton family.
