Half-term and Halloween

The Hall is open on Wednesday 28 October at 12pm and 2pm for tours incorporating the special art installations created by Fable Arts. Normal entry price, but children go free. On Thursday 29 October we start our spooky tours from 12pm, with ghostly stories and the Hall in candlelight. Bring a torch and come for a guided tour. Nothing will go bump in the night…. On Thursday 29 October there is also an opportunity to do some seasonal crafts for £2.50 per child, followed by dreadtime stories, read by our witch from the woods. Craft sessions are drop-in from 10am-11.30am, with story telling 11.30am-12.00pm, and again crafts from 1.00pm-2.30pm and story telling 2.30pm-3.00pm. Find us above the te

Ghosts at Lytham Hall

We have heard stories of the Hall being haunted on occasion, but earlier this year a few of our volunteers mentioned something spooky going on at the gatehouse. About mid day one Snowdrop Sunday they heard a car draw up at the gatehouse, where they were taking money and handing out leaflets. They stepped outside, but there was no car to be seen. On going back inside one volunteer commented that the experience was not unusual and many odd things happen, especially when the weather is cold and dreary and one is alone. The other volunteer then realized that his own previous experiences, which he had kept quiet about, were not part of his imagination. They discussed what they had previously kept
