Tickets on sale for theatre season

Tickets are on sale at Lytham Hall now for the 2017 summer season of four open air plays. Chapterhouse Theatre Company will launch the season on Sunday 11 June at 6.00 pm, the first weekend of their extensive summer tour. The company will present Richard Main’s production of Charles Dickens’ popular novel, Great Expectations, adapted for the stage by Laura Turner. Fylde coast fans will then welcome the return of Illyria, after three acclaimed shows last summer, as director Oliver Gray promises full-sized dinosaurs in his stage version of Arthur Conan Doyle’s adventure novel The Lost World at 6.00 pm on Sunday 9 July. Easter Sunday at Lytham Hall

The Friends of Lytham Hall are preparing for their annual Easter Sunday Family Fun Day on Sunday 16 April and hope to welcome you at Lytham Hall from 11am. Last entry is 3.30pm. This is always a very popular fundraising event for Lytham Hall, with around 1500 people visiting. There will be an Easter outdoor trail as usual, which goes through our newly established kitchen garden (no rabbits allowed in there!), which you can bunny hop if you are fit enough, cupcake decorating and a bouncy castle. We urge you to wear your prettiest Easter bonnets. Trails are £2 per child, with a chocolate surprise at the end of the trail and there is also a tombola. Secret doors to be found

At Lytham Hall we have offered family visitors a secret door trail through the parkland for a few years, and this year is no exception. From the beginning of April, a brand-new trail will be available, completely Alice in Wonderland themed. Discover the Cheshire cat (not on a branch, but at ground level), the Mad Hatter and the sleeping dormouse as they are hidden along the paths. For £2 per trail, which can be picked up in the tea room or in the estate office, you can spend an hour or more wandering through the parkland. And it will be no small relief to know, that the trail also ends in the tea room, where there will be plenty to tempt you to “eat me”. Which, we have to warn you, may make
